The parish photographers' group was started in 2012 with just 3 members. Prior to that all parish events were photographed ad hoc largely by parishioners. Since then the group has been blessed to have about 20 members from all walks of life. It has adopted a systematic, professional process of shooting and editing images. Read more >
IN GRATITUDE - DADS RULE
Dads, the ones who hoist you on their shoulders so you can catch a better glimpse of the parade, the ones who teach you how to ride a bike, who sign the cheques and the report cards. Dad is the one you go to, to fix things such as your doll’s broken arm. Read more >
PENTECOST TRIDUUM TESTIMONIALS It's my first Triduum and I found it very meaningful. The segments where Fr. Lionel took us through worship were very powerful. I felt he led us in a way that enabled me to clear my mind and focus on the presence of the Lord. On Wednesday, I’d gone up to the altar and was kneeling there. Yet my mind was so focused on the worship that there was no pain or discomfort. Just a calm, inner peace in the mind and heart... Read more >
Reflections for Pentecost Novena 2015 Pentecost Novena, a 9 day period from Fri after Ascension Thursday till the Eve of Pentecost. From Fri 15 May to Sun 24 May.
Some 190 parishioners of the Church of the Holy Family gathered at the Tanah Merah Country Club for our Annual Parish Assembly on 26 April. The half –day event centred on the theme “Living My Faith In Community.“
It began with the installation of the bible, after which Chair person Lena Quek welcomed all present. In his opening address, Father Patrick Goh, gave parishioners food for thought, in living their lives in faith as a community. Various groups from the parish such as representatives from the Filipino Community and Family Life Group shared their personal faith journeys.
Attendees then formed groups to discuss ways in which they could Interact and engage the community through their faith. A lively and fruitful discussion followed. This was seen in the presentation and the subsequent question and answer session that followed.
Most parishioners left feeling renewed and energised. All in all the Parish Assembly was a fulfilling occasion.
2015 Mar: CNCC EVENT
Some 79 members from the various Catholic Neighbourhood Christian Community (CNCC) groups of our church attended Stations of the Cross at St Joseph’s Church in Bukit Timah on 22 March. We were joined by 43 students from the adult catechism class, as it was collaboration between the NCC and the Adult catechism groups. Even the heavy downpour, before we began our journey did not dampen our enthusiasm as everyone who had signed up turned up. After the Stations of the Cross, we enjoyed dinner together and even celebrated the birthdays of two members. It had been a long day as our journey began at 4.30 pm and ended at 9.30 but no one seemed to mind.
