The RCIA plays a key role in initiating adults in the Catholic faith and preparing the non-baptised for baptism or baptised non-Catholics for full communion with the Catholic Church.
There are up to 20 sponsors supported by companions almost on a one-to-one basis depending on the number of adults who sign up for our programme.
Our sessions start off once a week on Wednesday nights from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. at the early stage. This then becomes twice weekly on Wednesday nights as well as Sunday mornings. In addition, the Sponsors hold regular meetings to pray together and plan ongoing activities, besides keeping in regular contact and communicating via ‘What’s App’.
What motivates us is how all followers of Christ are commanded: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28:19.
