RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) describes a process in which men and women are guided and cared for as they awaken in faith and are gradually introduced to the Catholic way of life. The RCIA process is marked by liturgical rites in the presence of the whole community, and it takes into account the spiritual needs of each person as he or she comes to know Christ and the Church.
The RCIA Core Team includes catechists and facilitators who guide, support and instruct those seeking to become members of our Catholic community – through catechesis, home sharing sessions, fellowships, retreats and church visits. These catechecums and candidates each journey with a spiritual companion (known as a sponsor) during the RCIA process.
